It is very handy, but use it wrongly and you end up badly messing up your memory. Unfortunately, I don't know that I'm going to spend a lot of time on it right now. We should move to a D-based build system to build dmd/druntime/phobos/d-programming-language/tools. I don't have an actual need to learn D but I know Andrei is an engaging writer and I wanted to know more about D. Currently, users of the D programming language can essentially choose between two mature compilers: DMD and GDC. The D programming language combines the compiled speed and to-the-metal access of C++ with the usability and clear syntax of Java or C#. I look forward to using the D programming language in the future. I'll demonstrate in this article how to make this safe in D. Then, I'd have a lot more opportunities. I recently purchased Andrei Alexandrescu's The D Programming Language. In many ways it's like Racket or Scheme. Yes, TIOBE is limited, but looking at google trends for “go programming language” shows the initial spike from the announcement in 2009, but flat ever since.
